The way the tournament works is that players first have to buy in to “Level 1″, or “Phase 1″ from this tournament the winners, in this case the top 2 players progress to “Phase 2″. This continues up and through till the “final phase” , in which prizes as high as $700 are awarded to top ranking players!

PKR Phase 1 : This is identical to the “Speed” variation of the Phase 1 tournament, although blind levels are increased at 8 minute intervals.
PKR Phase 2 (Speed) Tournament : This is the tournament you’ll win entry to, if you successfully manage to finish in the top 2 positions of any phase 1 tournament. Alternatively you can buy in directly to this tournament for $12 ($10.75 + $1.25), by doing this you miss out the “Phase 1″ tournament. The top 2 players advance to Phase 3, 3rd, 4th and 5th get another entry to “Phase 2″, 6th, 7th and 8th, return to “Phase 1″. Players start with 1500 chips and blinds are moved up every 8 minutes.

This tournament has has a deeper starting stack, 2000 chips, and slower blind levels, increasing every 10 minutes. The top 3 go through to Stage 4, 4th & 5th have another attempt at phase 3, 6th and 7th drop to phase 2, whilst 8th and 9th drop to phase 1.
PKR Phase 4 : Make it to Phase 4, and your certainly doing well! This is where you can potentially make it to the “final phase” and win some serious money! Blind levels are again increased, this time they are moved up every 12 minutes. Players are given 2,000 starting chips. Players can buy in directly to Phase 4 for $59.50 ($54 + $5.50). The top 2 finishers are given entry to the “Final Phase”, whilst 3rd and 4th place battle it out in Phase 4 again. 5th place and 6th place take a step back to phase 3. And 7th place is rewarded with a token to Step 2.
PKR “Final Phase” Tournament : If you’ve made it this far from “Phase 1″, you’ve certainly played well or got very lucky! This is where the prizes are awarded, so make sure you have your strategy developed before playing. You’ll start with 2,500 chips, so you’ll have time to wait around for premium hands, and pick up some small pots at the start. The blind levels are once again pushed up, this time they are increased every 15 minutes. Which is ideal for skilled players as they have longer to pick the right spots to make moves and collect some chips.
The top 4 players are awarded with cash prizes; 1st place gets $700, 2nd $400, 3rd $300 and 4th $200. 5th-10th place leave without a prize.
